I have always loved summer; three glorious months that make the winter bearable. Whether it is taking care of yourself, making delicious meals with seasonal ingredients, taking yoga classes, or swimming in the ocean, I just fall in love with summer! It is important not to waste a second of this warm time while we have it, but it is often hard to figure out what to do when so much seems possible. I like to take long walks by the ocean to help clear my mind. Farmers’ Markets are also a great place to go and explore delicious organic food and find local businesses to support. The one at Union Square is particularly good. Even if I don’t buy anything, it is nice to go through and smell the many fresh herbs and flowers for sale. The samples they usually have out are also great to nibble on. If it is going to be a particularly hot day, I go for an early swim in the morning before sitting in the shade, letting the salty breeze cool me, as I read or write and drink tea from a thermos. It is nice to watch the world go by on these hot days and take a second for yourself to cool off. How do you enjoy summer?
