Philosophy Matters

It has been a while since I first attended  The School of Practical Philosophy. I used to enjoy going to the school on Sundays. There were interesting, knowledgeable lectures and a nice cafe and book store where I could interact with other philosophical people. I think we need to consider philosophy nowadays more than ever. The great philosophers of East and West teach that happiness is within each of us. So, how do we tap into it? We discussed this and other essential questions that face every human being. What type of life provides the greatest happiness? The answer lies within us, we have to figure out it on our own, but philosophy can help as a guide to that answer. I took an introductory course to try and learn more.  There were topics to study, practices to implement, and handouts to review. I think it is a very exciting process of self-discovery and self-enrichment. This summer I want to read more philosophy and then continue to take courses in the fall. I would like to refresh my memory on Socrates’ insight and meet new people with similar intention. It makes the  quality of my life better because I’m prioritizing my philosophical health as well as my physical and emotional health. The process of refining skills and education is always beneficial. If you want to discover more about the school I studied at, I have attached their website below. This is not a paid sponsorship, but rather my own passion for expanding my knowledge.
