One Day at a Time

Have you ever thought how to renew your life and start fresh? I have been thinking about it pretty often.

Sometimes I consult I Ching. It’s a Chinese book, “I Ching” meaning the system of changes and it has helped people for many many years. I always learn something from it.

I listen to my horoscope prediction too. The energy of the planets it fascinating and very powerful. It comes into our lives and makes changes, even when we don’t ask. They come and go, stop and go back, then go forward again. They move all the time, creating favorable or unfavorable energy around us. Our lives depend on the planets mood and they’re moods that we know very little about. They can rescue us from difficult life situations or put us in them. There’s a lot of mystery around them. I prefer to listen to only positive predictions, but I’m not always that lucky. I get a sense that very little depends on me and I don’t have much control over what happens in my life. When I find myself in a situation that I cannot change, it feels as if some kind of force lured me into a trap. Of course it doesn’t feel like I am in a trap at first. It usually feels as if it is the right thing to do or say at that time. When the time goes by though, I suddenly realize that it is not what I thought it was. During difficult times like these, I wonder if I have the ability to change my circumstances.

I Ching suggests to resting times like this and cultivate energy for the future. I always get a good amount of support from I Ching. When my life is challenging and full of unexpected turns in the road, I have learned to embrace it gladly and calmly. I have observed that when I live a fast paced lifestyle, it is time consuming and I don’t know where the day goes. When I spend my day slowly, purposefully, and meditatively (or at least when I try to) my day becomes longer and nicer. So I established my sweet pace of life, slowed down and take one day at a time to enjoy each. Of course I do what I have to do; work, achieve goals, plan new goals, meet with friends and family, exercise, and lead a healthy lifestyle. If I want to live my life differently, I try to find what works for me. A one day at a time solution works well. I try to welcome any life situation. By creating a happy day, then another happy day, my life started to consist of remarkable days. And yours can too. First weeks, then months. Use your imagination along the way and your life becomes healthy, easy, and enjoyable. Despite any life trap. Yes, we can start fresh.
